My mom’s friend asked her

after discovering that since

returning home last week,

I have left the house maybe

twice, possibly three times.

My mom laughed it off and

said no, that I just like the inside.

She made no comment about

how I stay up till 5am, struggle

to get a full eight hours of sleep,

walk around in a blanket, and

frequently forget to shower,

brush my teeth, wash my hair,
